Elegy for a Lady asks the question many are too afraid to ask: “What are we?” We may already know. We’re probably in denial. But by asking, we’ll get that answer even if it’s not the one we want. Even so, we want answers. We need answers. We have to know where we stand. Is getting there the hard part, or accepting it?

Arthur Miller's short play Elegy for A Lady explores a man's introspective journey while searching for a gift for his lover. Amidst his reflections on his insecurities and defining their relationship, he encounters a consoling figure who adds depth and insight to his reverie.

Elegy For A Lady was performed on December 7th 2023 at Gonzaga University’s Magnuson Theatre.
