Current Projects

Since starting my role as Artistic Associate at Milagro Theatre, in Portland Oregon, I’ve been involved in many different ways in all their productions for the 2024-2025 season. More information about the upcoming events can be found here.

In their recently announced Season42: Fuerza en Familia, I will be directing the world premiere of Carissa Atallah’s Brown Face in May 2026, and adapting the script for the production of Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz’s Los Empeños de una Casa in February-March 2026.

Recent Projects

In the Spring of 2025, I starred in Gonzaga University’s new advertising campaign: Lead the Way.

In the winter of 2025, I directed, translated and revived Dañel Malán’s play, FRIDA (un retablo) at Milagro Theatre in Portland, Oregon. The play was a record-breaking success, with more sold out shows during the production’s run than Milagro has had in over 10 years.

In Fall 2024, I Stage Managed the rolling world premiere of Bernardo Cubria’s new play The Hispanic/Latina/Latino/LatinX/Latine Vote!

With Sam Moorhouse, I co-directed a short film written by Lily Franklin centered around the character “Ismene” from Sophocles’s play Antigone. It won the first prize in the “Out of Chaos Playing Antigone” film contest. The film can be watched here, and more information about the film competition can be found here.

As part of my Theatre and Honors Capstone Project, I wrote a play and directed a workshop that culminated in a staged reading on April 27th 2024. The play is a modern adaptation inspired by William Shakespeare’s All’s Well That Ends Well. It’s concerned with queer representation, female empowerment, and making classic texts more welcoming and accessible to modern audiences. It’s intended for “younger” audiences as a way to introduce them to Shakespeare’s other, less popular side. Additionally, I created a dramaturgical document with analytical readings of the original play and created other materials to prepare my play for production.

For my English Literature Senior Project, in November 2023, I completed an article-length paper concerned with the reception of Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun and surveys the reception of contemporary Black plays such as: Ain’t No Mo, Jaja’s African Hair Braiding, and A Strange Loop. It was published in the Gonzaga University Student Journal: Charter.

In December 2023, I directed Arthur Miller’s short play, Elegy for a Lady. It was presented at Gonzaga University’s Directing II Showcase.

I portrayed the character “Maria,” a ballerina “with a touch of the xiety” in a short student film directed by Claire Ianetta under the working title, “She’s Having Trouble.” You can see an early version of the film here.

I portrayed the character “Olympe de Gouge” in The Revolutionists in a staged reading of the play at Gonzaga University on February 29th-March 1st 2024.

I assistant directed and appeared as “Narrator” in Blake Anthony Edward’s TYA adaptation of Homer’s Odyssey at Gonzaga University on March 22nd-27th 2024.
